Good Clean Love Ups Sustainability Commitments, Unveils World’s First Carbon Neutral Personal Lubricant

 

In honor of Earth Day 2018, and “Earth Month,” Carbon Credit Capital (“CCC”) is proud to announce the newest member of the Carbon Neutral Checkout program: Intimacy products manufacturer, Good Clean Love. Good Clean Love and CCC entered into partnership back in February.

Today we’re rolling out Good Clean Love’s flagship product, Almost Naked organic personal lubricant, as the world’s first carbon neutral personal lubricant. Good Clean Love will now donate funds for every lubricant bottle purchased to a project that reduces greenhouse gases by an amount equivalent to that bottle’s carbon footprint. The initiative will neutralize the product’s environmental impact and simultaneously serve as a role model for smaller companies seeking to mitigate their effect on climate change.

 

Good Clean Love partnered with CCC to measure the greenhouse gas emissions generated by its Almost Naked product. We calculated emissions from raw materials through manufacturing, processing, packaging, warehousing and shipping, and calculate a per-unit price for those emissions. We then helped the Good Clean Love select GEC Organics Waste Composting Project. GEC’s operations reduce fertilizer, and land-use change-related carbon emissions by converting chicken manure, food waste and green waste into organic soil that can reduce or replace fertilizer in agriculture applications.

 

GEC is one of only three U.S.-based carbon offset projects to achieve Gold Standard project verification, one of the highest such standards in the world. The standard ensures that carbon credits are real, verifiable and capable of making measurable contributions to sustainable development worldwide.

 

Leading the Way for Smaller Companies Committed to Combatting Climate Change
