Luca leads technical and CDM review of projects. Luca has more than 10 years of work experience in the energy sector. Prior to Carbon Credit Capital, Luca was a Plant Engineering Leader at Owens Corning, where he lead projects to double the company’s composites production capacity to meet growing market demand for wind energy turbines. He started off as a Field Engineer at Renco (Florence, Italy) where he participated in several field missions to evaluate performance and troubleshoot gas turbines and compressors. After Renco, Luca moved to GiViDi USA Inc (Columbia, SC) as a Plant Engineering Manager. He worked with the Finance & Control to develop a Utilities Monitoring System which lead to a revision of the electrical supply contract. He also secured EPA, SCDHEC, air emissions, water, construction and operating permits necessary for plant expansion projects and facilitated environmental due diligence and audit. Luca holds a Master of Arts in Climate and Society from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florence.
