Lakshmi Ananthamurthy
Director for India Lakshmi heads the India office of Carbon Credit Capital. Lakshmi has eight years of experience in energy, engineering, project management and entrepreneurship, having worked in India, the U.S., London and South Africa. In 2005, she joined BP, where her role involved supply chain strategy and planning and optimization in various parts of the global downstream business. She was the commercial project manager to start BP’s business in South Africa to design and provide energy products for a new consumer segment called the bottom of the pyramid, along with C.K. Prahalad. Prior to business school, Lakshmi was an IT consultant in the U.S and India. She also co-founded a company in the U.S.called Novusware in 2002-03. Lakshmi received an MBA from University of Chicago’s Graduate Booth School of Business in 2005, majoring in Finance, Strategy & Planning and Entrepreneurship. Lakshmi has a Bachelors of Engineering degree from Bombay University. During her spare time, Lakshmi fundraises for charities such as 'Asha' and enjoys hiking and playing violin and flute. |
